REFURBISHMENT OF MEDIA ROOM AT TERMINAL B AREA FOR A PERIOD OF SIX MONTHS AT OR TAMBO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

What this tender is about

Airports Company of South Africa (ACSA) is inviting small businesses to submit proposals for the refurbishment of the Media Room at OR Tambo International Airport. This project is for a period of six months. The scope includes demolition, installation of new finishes, acoustic panels, suspended ceilings, stage construction, kitchen and control room works, carpentry, mechanical, and electrical installations. A compulsory briefing session will be held, though the date is not specified. Proposals must be submitted by 12:00 on 30 September 2026. Scope of work

• Demolish and remove existing wall and ceiling finishes, including kitchen and control room areas.
• Supply and install new wall and floor finishes, acoustic panels, and suspended ceilings.
• Construct and install a stage with timber framing, decking, carpet finish, edging, skirting, and access steps.
• Install kitchen cabinets, quartz countertops, sink, splashback tiles, and non-slip floor tiles.
• Install control room operator desk and quartz countertops.
• Supply and install timber doors and a main entrance door with signage and ACSA logo.
• Install HVAC system, including a controller for the AHU and new air diffusers.
• Relocate existing sprinkler heads, supply and install additional sprinkler pipework and new heads.
• Remove and make safe existing electrical installations, install new distribution boards, LED lighting, and motion sensors.
• Install UPS power supply connections, earthing, bonding, and obtain electrical installation certification.

Special conditions

Stage 2 Mandatory Administration Criteria (a) Only tenderers who are a CIDB contractor grading of 5GB or higher. This grading must be valid. (b) Submit completed and signed Form of Offer. Please refer from page 2 of 42 on Contract document. (c) Bidders must attend compulsory briefing session and compulsory site inspection on 31 August 2026 at 10 a.m. Both meetings are compulsory and are on the same day. Bidders who did not attend both of these meetings will be disqualified. Bidders must complete attendance register/s at the meeting
