What this tender is about

The Technology Innovation Agency (TIA) is issuing a Request for Information (RFI) for suppliers of laboratory equipment and services in KwaZulu-Natal. TIA is seeking details on various products and services, including but not limited to, Sartorius instruments, Mettler-Toledo process analytics, Burkert solenoid valves, Grundfos pumps, Centrifuges under CRYSTE brand, KLab microplate readers, Steritech autoclaves, clean air equipment, bioreactor seals, Hanna Instruments, Shimadzu products, and Anton Paar products. Suppliers are requested to provide proof of their services and products. The closing date for submissions is 16 October 2026 at 17:00. All services and products are for the TIA facility located at 1 Dickens Road, AECI Industrial Complex, Umbogintwini, 4120.

Scope of work

• Installation, validation/calibration, maintenance, service, and repair of Sartorius instruments.(RFI001BIOPROCESSING.docx, section start)
• Supply of Mettler-Toledo AG Process Analytics products including in-line liquid and gas analytics sensors, housings, and transmitters.(RFI001BIOPROCESSING.docx, section start)
• Distribution and servicing of Centrifuges and accessories under the CRYSTE brand.(RFI001BIOPROCESSING.docx, section start)
• Post-sale service of KLab microplate readers.(RFI001BIOPROCESSING.docx, section start)
• Supply of the Steritech range of autoclaves, associated spares, and consumables.(RFI001BIOPROCESSING.docx, section start)
• Manufacturing, supply, and service of clean air equipment including Biohazard Safety Cabinets and Fume Extraction Cupboards.(RFI001BIOPROCESSING.docx, section start)
• Manufacturing and service provision for Double Mechanical Seals (DMS) for bioreactor shafts.(RFI001BIOPROCESSING.docx, section start)
• Sales and service distribution for valves.(RFI001BIOPROCESSING.docx, section start)
