APPOINTMENT OF A SERVICE PROVIDER:SUPPLY,DELIVERY AND INSTALLATION OF SMART BULK WATER MATERS IN MALUTI-A-PHOFUNG LOCAL MUNICIPALITY

What this tender is about

Maluti-a-Phofung Local Municipality in the Free State is seeking a service provider for the supply, delivery, and installation of smart bulk water meters. The project involves various stages including consumer meter audits, replacement of consumer meters, and replacement of raw water inlet and outlet meters. Scope of work

• Supply, delivery, and installation of new ultrasonic SMART NON-DOMESTIC CONSUMER METERS of various sizes.(Copy of Annesure E - Bill_MAP_Bulk..., sheet 3 - CONSUMER METER REPLACEMENT)
• Supply, delivery, and installation of new flanged electro-magnetic flow meters with GPRS modules for raw water inlet and outlet.
• Conducting a consumer meter audit to identify bulk consumers with or without water meters requiring replacement and calibration.
• Supply and installation of an Automatic Metering Reading (AMR) system and integration of smart metering systems.(Copy of Annesure E - Bill_MAP_Bulk..., sheet 5 - AMR)

Important requirements

• The project includes preliminary and general items such as contractual requirements, establishment of facilities on site, time-related items, and provisional amounts for testing and surveys.(Copy of Annesure E - Bill_MAP_Bulk..., sheet 1 - P&G)
• Compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (Act 85 of 1993) and applicable regulations is mandatory.(Copy of Annesure E - Bill_MAP_Bulk..., sheet 1 - P&G)
• A provisional sum is allocated for the Health and Safety Agent at R45,000.00 per month.(Copy of Annesure E - Bill_MAP_Bulk..., sheet 1 - P&G)
• A provisional sum is allocated for the Environmental Practitioner at R40,000.00 per month.(Copy of Annesure E - Bill_MAP_Bulk..., sheet 1 - P&G)
