APPLICATIONS ARE HEREBY INVITED FROM POTENTIAL BIDDERS WISHING TO BE PLACED ON THE TRANSNET ENGINEERING APPROVED LIST, AS SUPPLIERS OR MANUFACTURERS FOR THE SPECIALISED GOODS OR COMPONENTS AND / OR EQUIPMENT, WITHIN TRANSNET ENGINEERING BUSINESS The Approved List will cover the following: • Wagons Approved list 239 • Locomotive Approved List [248 and 301] • Ports Approved List [100]

What this tender is about

Transnet SOC Ltd is seeking applications from potential suppliers and manufacturers to be placed on its approved list for specialised goods, components, and equipment. Scope of work

• Suppliers and manufacturers are invited to apply for inclusion on Transnet Engineering's approved list for specialised goods, components, and equipment.
• The approved list will cover components for Wagons, Locomotives, and Ports.
• Specific items for the Wagons Approved List include various brake components, hoses, valves, cylinders, and couplings.(Annexure A1_wagons 2026.xlsx, sheet Annexure A1 Wagons)
• Specific items for the Locomotives Approved List include horns, sensors, bearings, filters, crankshafts, and various engine components.(Annexure A2_Locomotives 2026.xlsx, sheet Sheet1)

Important requirements

• Bidders must indicate their interest per item for which they wish to be considered.(Annexure A1_wagons 2026.xlsx, sheet Annexure A1 Wagons)
• Suppliers may need to provide a material certificate with delivered items.(Annexure A1_wagons 2026.xlsx, sheet Annexure A1 Wagons)
• For specific items, suppliers are responsible for informing the Engineering Manager for approval of the first sample item before proceeding with production.(Annexure A1_wagons 2026.xlsx, sheet Annexure A1 Wagons)
• For certain locomotive components, material certificates must be enclosed.(Annexure A2_Locomotives 2026.xlsx, sheet Sheet1)
