What this tender is about

Transnet SOC Ltd is inviting small businesses to submit proposals for the design, supply, repair, modification, installation, testing, and commissioning of traction (3kV DC) and distribution (11kV & 6.6kV AC) substations. This service will be provided on an as and when required basis for a period of twenty-four (24) months, covering the Central & Container Corridors. A compulsory briefing session will be held on 2026-10-08 at 10:00. Proposals must be submitted by the closing date of 2026-10-29 at 12:00.

Scope of work

• Design, supply, repairs, modification, installation, testing and commissioning of traction (3kV DC) and distribution (11 kV & 6.6 kV AC) substations.
• Services to be provided on an as and when required basis for a period of twenty-four (24) months.
• Services are for the Central & Container Corridors.

Important requirements

• Attendance at the compulsory briefing session on 2026-10-08 at 10:00 is mandatory.

How to submit

• Proposals must be submitted by the closing date of 2026-10-29 at 12:00.

Special conditions

A compulsory Tender Clarification Meeting will be conducted at 138 Eloff Street, Johannesburg on the 08 October 2026, at 10:00am [10 O’clock] for a period of ± 6 (six) hours. [Tenderers to provide own transportation and accommodation].
