Transnet SOC Ltd is inviting small businesses to submit proposals for the design, supply, repair, modification, installation, testing, and commissioning of traction and distribution substations. This service is required on an as-and-when-needed basis for a period of twenty-four months within the Cape & Ore Corridors in the Western Region. A compulsory briefing session will be held on 2026-09-30 at 10:00. Proposals must be submitted by the closing date of 2026-10-20 at 12:00.

Scope of work

• Design, supply, repair, modification, installation, testing and commissioning of traction (3KV DC, 25KV and 50KV AC) and distribution (11 KV & 6.6 KV AC) substations.
• Services to be provided on an as and when required basis for a period of twenty-four (24) months.
• Services are for the Western Region - CAPE & ORE CORRIDORS.

Special conditions

A compulsory Tender Clarification Meeting will be conducted at 138 Eloff Street, Johannesburg on the 30 September 2026, at 10:00am [10 O’clock] for a period of ± 6 (six) hours. [Tenderers to provide own transportation and accommodation].
