Appointment of a BBBEE transformation agency - For a period of 3 years

What this tender is about

The Human Sciences Research Council (HSRC) is seeking a BBBEE transformation agency to provide advisory and support services for a period of three years. The appointed service provider will be responsible for reviewing and migrating the HSRC's current BBBEE plan into an effective transformation plan, incorporating delivery-orientated methodologies to improve the HSRC's BBBEE rating. Services include strategy development, implementation, due diligence, training, and communication with stakeholders. Bidders must demonstrate at least five years of experience in BBBEE transformation and provide proof of relevant certifications. Proposals must be submitted by 16:00 on 23 October 2026.

Scope of work

• Review, re-evaluate, and validate the HSRC's current BBBEE plan, migrating it into an effective transformation plan that provides a competitive advantage.
• Incorporate delivery-orientated approaches with proven methodologies to achieve an increased BBBEE rating/scoring for the HSRC.
• Provide capability in strategy development, organisational transformation, BBBEE implementation, due diligence, and training skills.
• Assist HSRC in all transformation stages, from understanding BBBEE to strategy building, implementation, and monitoring, using a change management approach.
• Conduct in-house training for internal stakeholders under each BBBEE pillar and assist in developing a strategic BBBEE roadmap.
• Track BBBEE Scorecard and provide necessary training for management, including information recording.
• Prepare tender documents aligned with the BBBEE Act and its Codes of Good Practice.
