Provision of SPU Disconnections and Reconnection Services in North West Operating Unit for 36 months on and “as and when required” basis.

What this tender is about

Eskom is inviting small businesses to bid for the provision of Small Power User (SPU) Disconnection and Reconnection Services within the North West Operating Unit. This contract is for a period of 36 months and will operate on an 'as and when required' basis. The services include disconnecting and reconnecting SPU meters in urban, rural, and deep rural areas during normal working hours and after hours. The tender also covers preliminary costs related to health and safety, PPE, tools, equipment, and transportation. Bidders must submit their offers by 11 September 2026. A compulsory briefing session will be held on 24 August 2026.

Scope of work

• Disconnect SPU meters in accordance with prescribed procedures for urban, rural, and deep rural areas during normal working hours.
• Perform follow-up visits to ensure points are off for customers not requesting reconnection.
• Reconnect SPU meters in accordance with prescribed procedures for urban, rural, and deep rural areas during normal working hours.
• Reconnect SPU meters after hours in accordance with prescribed procedures.
• Provide PPE, tools, and equipment for safety compliance.
• Provide transportation for distance covered from selected CNC within a sector to the required site.
• Provide accommodation limited to three-star, all-inclusive for staff travelling over 250km from the selected CNC.
