APPOINTMENT OF A SERVICE PROVIDER TO PROVIDE SHORT-TERM INSURANCE BROKERAGE SERVICES TO THE NCR FOR A PERIOD OF 5 YEARS

What this tender is about

The National Credit Regulator (NCR) is seeking a qualified and reputable service provider to offer short-term insurance brokerage services for a period of five years. This Request for Proposal (RFP) requires bidders to act as an intermediary between the NCR and the insurance market, managing various insurance policies including general liability, personal injury, and employment practice liability. The appointed service provider will be responsible for claims administration, monitoring premiums, and advising on legislative amendments. A compulsory briefing session will be held online on November 16, 2026. Proposals must be submitted by 11:00 AM on December 8, 2026, at the NCR offices in Midrand. Evaluation will be based on an 80/20 preference points system, considering price and specific goals.

Scope of work

• Provide short-term insurance brokerage services including placement, maintenance, and administration of the NCR's insurance portfolio.
• Manage claims administration and maintenance, handle daily correspondence and queries, and monitor premium payments and refunds.
• Cover assets against loss or damage, including electronic equipment, stock, and property for fire, terrorism, and sabotage.
• Provide comprehensive motor vehicle cover for loss or damage to vehicles and accessories.
• Offer liability insurance including Public Liability, Executive Management (Directors and Officers Liability), and Employment Practices Liability.
• Provide Cyber Risk Insurance to cover risks arising from operating a computer network.
• Offer Business Interruption cover for financial losses following business interruptions.
• Provide International Business Travel insurance.
• Advise the NCR on any other relevant insurance portfolios beyond those identified.

How to submit

• Submit two (2) hard copies (original & copy) and one (1) memory stick of the entire proposal.
• Proposals must reach the NCR offices before 11:00 AM on 08 December 2026 and be enclosed in a sealed envelope clearly labelled.
• Proposals are to be submitted in the marked tender box at the National Credit Regulator, 127-15th Road, Randjiespark, Halfway House, Midrand.
• Bids must be delivered by the stipulated time to the correct address; late bids will not be accepted.
• All bids must be submitted on the official forms provided or in the manner prescribed in the bid document.
• Bidders must ensure compliance with their tax obligations and submit their Tax Compliance Status (TCS) PIN or CSD number.
