FOR THE PROVISION OF MEDICAL LABORATORY SERVICE FOR THE PHELOPHEPHA HEALTH CARE TRAINS I AND II “ON AN AS WHEN AND REQUIRED BASIS” FOR A PERIOD OF THREE (3) YEARS.

Transnet SOC Ltd is seeking proposals for medical laboratory services for the Phelophepa Health Care Trains I and II. This is an 'as when and required' contract for a period of three years. Scope of work

• Specimen Collection and Transportation: 100% of specimens collected and transported in accordance with approved laboratory protocols and agreed collection schedules. • Laboratory Turnaround Time (TAT): Provide accurate laboratory test results within the agreed turnaround times to support timely clinical decision-making and continuity of patient care.(Annexure A-Service Level Agreement..., sheet PHELOPHEPA LABORATORY SERVICES)
• National Laboratory Service Coverage: 100% uninterrupted laboratory service availability throughout the contract period, with the ability to collect, transport, process and report specimens within the prescribed turnaround times, irrespective of the geographical location of either Healthcare Train.(Annexure A-Service Level Agreement..., sheet PHELOPHEPA LABORATORY SERVICES)
• Customer Support and Clinical Communication: 100% acknowledgement of clinician and client enquiries within the agreed response time. Critical issues escalated immediately to the appropriate laboratory representative.(Annexure A-Service Level Agreement..., sheet PHELOPHEPA LABORATORY SERVICES)
• Regulatory Compliance and Quality Assurance: 100% compliance with SANAS accreditation requirements, valid HPCSA registration, and all applicable laboratory industry regulations governing the provision of laboratory services.(Annexure A-Service Level Agreement..., sheet PHELOPHEPA LABORATORY SERVICES)

Important requirements
