Appointment of Panel of Suitably Qualified and CIDB-Registered General Building Contractors in Grades 1GB to 3GB, on an "As and When Required" basis, for a Period of Three (03) Years by the Maluti-a-Phofung Special Economic Zone (MAPSEZ)

The Maluti-a-Phofung Special Economic Zone (MAPSEZ) is seeking to appoint a panel of suitably qualified and CIDB-registered General Building Contractors. The panel will be established for Grades 1GB to 3GB and will operate on an 'as and when required' basis for a period of three years. This is a Request for Proposal process. Interested contractors must ensure they meet the CIDB grading requirements and are registered on the Central Supplier Database. Submissions must be completed in black ink, with any corrections initialled. Bids must be submitted by the closing date of 15 September 2026 at 11:00. Appointment to the panel does not guarantee work; individual work packages will be quoted for as they arise.

Scope of work

• Establish a panel of CIDB-registered General Building Contractors (Grades 1GB to 3GB) for building construction, repairs, maintenance, minor alterations, and related works at MAPSEZ on an as-and-when-required basis for three years.
• Works may include general building, repairs, maintenance, renovations, refurbishments, minor alterations, painting, plastering, tiling, ceilings, flooring, roofing, doors, windows, and other associated works within the CIDB General Building (GB) class.
• All works will be executed within the Maluti-a-Phofung Special Economic Zone property boundary in Tshiame, Harrismith.

How to submit

• Submit one original completed tender document in a sealed envelope, clearly marked with the Tender Number and Project Description. Include all returnable documents, properly indexed and neatly bound. Also submit a flash drive containing an electronic copy of the complete bid submission.
• Telegraphic, telephonic, facsimile, electronic, and late submissions will not be accepted.
• The closing date and time for submission of tenders is 11:00 on 15 September 2026. Ensure bids are deposited directly into the official MAPSEZ bid box by the closing time. MAPSEZ accepts no responsibility for bids not deposited in the official bid box before closing.
