The Maluti-a-Phofung Special Economic Zone (MAPSEZ) is seeking to appoint a panel of suitably qualified and CIDB-registered Electrical Infrastructure Contractors. The panel will serve on an 'as and when required' basis for a period of three years. Contractors must be registered in Grades 1EP to 3EP. The closing date for submissions is 15 September 2026 at 11:00. Bidders must comply with all mandatory requirements, including registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) and CIDB. Appointment to the panel does not guarantee work, but makes contractors eligible for future work packages. Submissions must be made in the prescribed format, clearly marked, and include an electronic copy on a flash drive.

Scope of work

• Establish a panel of CIDB-registered Electrical Infrastructure Contractors (Grades 1EP to 3EP) for electrical construction, repairs, maintenance, and alterations at MAPSEZ on an as-and-when-required basis for three years.
• Works may include street and area lighting, substations and protection systems, township reticulations, transmission lines, and other associated electrical infrastructure works.
• All works will be executed within the property boundary of the Maluti-a-Phofung Special Economic Zone in Tshiame, Harrismith.

• Submit one (1) original completed tender document in a sealed envelope, clearly marked with the Tender Number and Project Description. All returnable documents must be properly indexed and neatly bound. Additionally, submit a flash drive containing an electronic copy of the complete bid submission.
• Telegraphic, telephonic, facsimile, electronic, and late submissions will not be accepted. Bids must be deposited in the official MAPSEZ bid box before the closing date and time.
